2012 Program
Washington Closure Hanford manages the River Corridor Closure Project at the U.S. Department of Energy's Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state.

Candidates must be working on the completion of a college degree in one of the following Engineering, Science or Business disciplines.

Engineering

Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear.

Science or Business

Business/Related, Chemistry, Communications, Computer Science, Environmental, Geological, Health Physics, Management Information, Systems, Physics.

Qualifications and eligibility requirements

(Interns accepted into the Washington Closure Hanford Student Internship Program must provide a copy of their unofficial transcripts or degree audit report for verification purposes.)

Interns must meet the following qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the internship
  • Completed at least two quarters/semesters of college education prior to the internship
  • Enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) during the two quarters/semesters immediately preceding the start of the internship. *You may be required to submit an updated transcript prior to being considered for employment.
